Important features :
|
The CMP 22 has all the features of CMP 21 but uses very high quality quartz domes for a wider spectral range, improved directional response and has reduced thermal offsets. Because of the high optical quality of these domes, the directional error is reduced below 5 W/m². Kipp & Zonen (now Ott HydroMet) is confident that CMP 22 is the best pyranometer currently available. The CMP 22 is fully compliant with all ISO 9060:2018 - spectrally flat, class A (formerly ISO 9060:1990 Secondary Standard) instrument performance criteria (highest possible ISO pyranometer performance category).
The integrated bubble level is raised to the top of the housing and can be viewed without removing the snap-on sun shield, which also covers the signal cable connector. The connection with weatherproof connectors allows easy replacement and recalibration.
The screw-in drying cartridge is easy to remove and the replacement desiccant is supplied in convenient refill packets.
The pyranometer does not require any power. His output signal is a low voltage around 0 - 20 mV in relation to the amount of incoming radiation. When a higher signal level (0 - 1 V or 4 - 20 mA) is required, the choice of an AMPBOX or the SMART PYRANOMETER Model SMP 22 has to be considered.
