The Kestrel 5500 weather station with compass allows you to accurately measure key weather and environmental conditions. With just one measuring device you can easily determine wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, pressure, altitude, dew point, heat index, wet bulb temperature, wind chill, cardinal direction, wind direction, crosswind and headwind/tailwind.

Because of its compass combined with the wind direction function, the Kestrel 5500 is suitable for all outdoor applications where these parameters are essential. It is ideal for construction workers, engineers, farmers, as well as for the sports sector.

Due to its dimensions and low weight, this climate measuring device is a truly mobile professional weather station and can be used anywhere. With just the push of a button, all parameters are measured and can be displayed as numerical values or graphically. Like all Kestrel anemometers, it is 100% waterproof and floats. If you order the device with the Bluetooth® option, you can, among other things, send the measurement data to an iOS and Android device and display, save and create reports there (see details below). The necessary app is available free of charge for iOS and Android devices.

If this symbol is not present, your instrument does NOT have Bluetooth. The device with Bluetooth is hardware and not a simple software upgrade. You must purchase the unit with Bluetooth already installed.

P.S. : The option cannot be retrofitted!

Kestrel LiNK for iOS & Android :

The free Kestrel LiNK® app for iOS/Android lets you connect wirelessly to iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth®. The system allows you to remotely view and store real-time environmental data, issue alerts based on temperature, heat index, wind or other measurements, and create and send reports. The Kestrel LiNK also enables easy firmware updates of Kestrel 5000 series instruments. Data transmission takes place wirelessly via Bluetooth® Low Energy within radio range (approx. 30 m line of sight - reduced by walls and obstacles).

		Compatible with Kestrel 5 Series Weather Instruments with LiNK and all Kestrel DROP Wireless Data Loggers. View real-time measurements and download data logs from devices within range. LiNK for Android can connect to one device at a time. View and analyze logged data using range Min/Max/Average statistics and clear scrolling graphs. Get alerts when conditions exceed thresholds you set in the app. (Note: Use of alerts feature reduces battery life of mobile device.) Easily export and email selected data ranges or entire log in .csv format for record keeping and analysis. Post snapshots of current conditions to social media with one click. Manage your Kestrel's name, logging rate and other device settings. Get alerted to available firmware updates for your Kestrel and install them wirelessly.
