Compared to the spectral response of the UVS-E, the UVS-B-T has a sharper cut-off at the transition from UV-B to UV-A. This feature reduces the UV-A contribution to the radiometer output and permits the highest possible correlation to atmospheric UV-B irradiance.
The high accuracy UVS-B-T is thermostated (heated / cooled at 25 ºC) including filters, detector and pre-amplifier. Due to the heating/cooling element it requires external power.
The UVS-B-T has a sealed, weather resistant case made from protected aluminum. The sensor permits continuous outdoor operation. The UVS-B-T can easily be adjusted in the horizontal by help of three leveling screws and the built-in circular bubble level.
The screw-in drying cartridge is easy to remove and the replacement desiccant is supplied in convenient refill packets.
