The CNR 2 is a net radiometer with a unique design and features two separate outputs for net short-wave (solar) and long-wave (atmospheric and terrestrial) radiation. It is virtually maintenance free and designed for continuous outdoor use. It has two linear mV outputs and requires no power supply.
The compact, rugged and lightweight design with removable mounting rod makes the CNR 2 ideal for field research as well as for network use. The CNR 2 is supplied as standard with a high quality waterproof connector and 10 m signal cable. It requires two millivolt inputs on a data logger.
The glass domes and silicon windows protect the thermopile detectors from environmental factors, are easy to clean and minimize the effects of wind and rain.
The CNR 2 size, weight and integrated bubble level make it an ideal instrument for portable use.
The CNR 2 is CE approved and comes with calibration certificate.
Applications :
Main applications are agro meteorology for the study of evapotranspiration and crop damage prevention.
In climatology meteorology and hydrology the radiative balance is measured (e.g. glacier studies)
In renewable energy the heat exchange in thermal solar systems can be monitored.
