PGS 100 is a spectrophotometer for the routine automated measurement of the spectrum of direct solar radiation. It must be mounted on an automatic sun tracker, such as the Kipp & Zonen SOLYS 2 or 2AP.
PGS 100 comes with Windows control and data logging software. The instrument must be connected via the RS 232 port to a computer (not included) running the supplied software in order to operate. The measured spectra are displayed directly on-screen and can be analysed using wavelength selection tools.
PGS 100 provides spectral data that can be post-processed by the user (software not included) to derive a variety of parameters, including:
optical depth
energy distribution
absorption by atmospheric gasses
aerosol properties
Main features :
Direct solar measurements using an integrated solar tracker with active sun sensor correction
Temperature stabilised spectrophotometer with no moving parts
